This year Galway County Show 17th & 18th June (Galway Race Course, Ballybrit) are introducing the Galway County Show Sheep Shearing Championships on Sunday 18th of June.

For the Galway County Show Sheep Shearing Championships they have enlisted the services of Peter McDonagh, Billy Donnellan and Paddy Rock to help stage the event. All three men bring vast knowledge of staging these competitions.

Sheering will commence at 11am and will feature three finals in the mid-afternoon. Two of these will be machine and the other one by the traditional method of the hand shears.
